Dunes of Uzzer

It is difficult for a newcomer to understand the mentality of the Uzzer tribe. They can seem self-important, sure of their own beliefs and dismissive of those of others. They have been called pompous and aloof, and they shake the accusations off with what looks like smugness.

To understand them is to understand their past. Uzzer lies on the rubble of a great city from the Old World. They are the oldest tribe, and have survived the hazards of the Sands the longest. That has bred confidence, which can be construed as arrogance. To change their ways - to listen to an adventurer from the south - would be to abandon their methods of survival. To some, it would be as good as slitting their own throats.
