Witchwillow Range

There is a story in Emberwood about the witch of the forest. She lived, so the stories claim, in the great willow groves, working spells and brewing potions that would bring the forest to life. She turned princes into frogs, spindles into deathtraps and little girls were warned to never accept crimson cloaks from strangers at night.

Of course, none of this was true. There was a witch who lived in the willow groves, a kindly old thing called Beatrice. She spent most of her time growing a little garden, and feeding the animals that came to wander by. Never once did she curse any princes, and the only cloaks she offered were when the rains were heavy and the wind far too cold.
