Highlighting the Problem
Explore the RuneCrafting Guild to discover the means to craft a powerful magical weapon.
The wizard statue in the Runecrafting Guild, on the cliffs directly north of Temple Woods, wants a password, and the password is in the vault at the foot of the cliff. Pay it and the statue hands you an uncharged orb to carry round the guild's three towers; bring it back charged and you get the recipe for the
Staff of Light, the best magic weapon you can make this early.

Steps
4- 1
Investigate the area for clues about the statue.
The password is in Thishepen Kara, the vault at the base of the cliff by the guild. You don't need to clear it: in the room with four giant rats, Windstep up to the raised path on the right and read the glowing blue statue. The word is pthentorok.
- 2
Search the Runecrafting Guild for a statue.
- 3
Find a way to charge the mysterious orb.
The statue gives you a Mysterious Orb. Three pedestals sit on top of the three towers around the guild's main tower; Windstep up using the rubble and the scenery as steps and touch each one.
- 4
Return to the wizard statue.
With all three touched the orb is charged. Back at the statue the voice gives you the staff recipe.
On completion
Following the badly recorded instructions of the old Ashenfall Wizard's Tower, you learned to craft a special staff.
Tips
1The guild is goblin-held, so bring food and a weapon you can use at range for the towers.

Mysterious Voice: This orb is the heart of a very special staff known as the Staff of Light. Popular with blue robed wizards throughout Saradomin's domain.
Mysterious Voice: Once you've charged the orb at all three, bring it back here to create your staff.
You place the orb on the pedestal. Ambient energy is absorbed by the orb, causing it to glow faintly. The pedestal loses its charge.

Mysterious Voice: Now we just attach the orb to the shaft and voila, one staff of light. Great job, apprentice!

A panel in the statue slides aside and you retrieve a crystal orb from within. A voice from nowhere fills your head.

Mysterious Voice: Now Jules, turn this thing off so I can hit you with this broom without it being preserved for future generations.
Mysterious Voice: Ah, hello, this thing on? Apprentice, well done, you've got yourself an orb. This is the first step toward creating your very own magical staff.
Alas, the statue does not respond.
