Dialogue (36 lines)

Vannaka: [PH] Ah - just the person I was hoping to see.

Vannaka: [PH] Thank you for all your help pup.

Vannaka: [PH] I've been hearing strange things from the sands. Kalphites… but not as we know them. Creatures like that demand understanding - not guesswork, Pup.

Vannaka: [PH] I'll admit it plainly; this is unfamiliar ground for me. If I'm to teach others how to face them, I need to study them up close.

Vannaka: [PH] Ah… that'll be the wing, then. Let me see it.

Vannaka: [PH] Back again, but I see no wing.

Vannaka: [PH] Ah! You've returned! And with… Kalphite Ichor? Incredible!

Vannaka: [PH] Pup, we need Ichor to learn what drives these creatures.

Vannaka: So, what do you say to helping me out a bit more?

Vannaka: [PH] Back already? Hm. I take it you didn't manage to bring back a shell.

Vannaka: So, what do you say to helping me out a bit more?

Vannaka: [PH] By Guthix, you actually brought one.

Vannaka: [PH] Interesting… far too dense for flight. No, this isn't for the air; it's built for balance, for sudden shifts in movement beneath the sand.

Vannaka: [PH] If we're to understand how these Kalphites move, I'll need more than the shell alone.

Vannaka: [PH] I can feel its essence just by holding this. This will be invaluable in understanding how these creatures operate. With this, I feel far more prepared for dealing with the Kalphite threat.

Vannaka: [PH] I see. Not a task to take lightly, I suppose.

Vannaka: [PH] Bring me an intact Kalphite shell, and you'll be doing more than helping me, you'll be sharpening every Slayer's edge.

Vannaka: [PH] No matter, but without it, I've nothing to study. The Kalphites of the Umbral Sands won't reveal their secrets so easily.

Vannaka: [PH] I see. Not a task to take lightly, I suppose.

Vannaka: [PH] Bring me an intact Kalphite shell, and you'll be doing more than helping me, you'll be sharpening every Slayer's edge.

Vannaka: [PH] Feel this… layered chitin, thicker than I expected. Not just armour, this is grown to deflect, to absorb impact. Blades would glance off if you don't strike with purpose… right along these seams.

Vannaka: [PH] See here? Reinforced channels. Likely used to sense vibrations… or to stabilise them when they lunge. A Slayer who ignores these would be caught off guard.

Vannaka: [PH] Bring me a wing, Pup, and we'll finish what we started.

Vannaka: [PH] Truly, your help has made a difference. Take this token of my appreciation, it should aid you in your travels, and perhaps give you a little edge if you cross paths with these foul insects again.

Vannaka: [PH] Return when you have one. Fragments will not suffice.

Vannaka: [PH] "Wait… is that? By Guthix! You already have one.

Vannaka: [PH] A Slayer's approach, then; precision over force. Break the structure, not the shell. Hm… fascinating.

Vannaka: [PH] Shell for defence. Wings for control… which leaves one final piece.

Vannaka: [PH] Once more, thank you. You've done more than I could have asked for.

Vannaka: [PH] Feel this… layered chitin, thicker than I expected. Not just armour, this is grown to deflect, to absorb impact. Blades would glance off if you don't strike with purpose… right along these seams.

Vannaka: [PH] But this raises another question. If their shells have adapted… what of their mobility?

Vannaka: [PH] I need to see its ichor, the blood. Bring me that, and we'll learn what truly drives these creatures… and how to bring them down for good.

Vannaka: [PH] A Slayer's approach, then; precision over force. Break the structure, not the shell. Hm… fascinating.

Vannaka: [PH] I need a Kalphite wing. Bring me one, and we'll see how these creatures move, and more importantly, how to stop them.

Vannaka: I've got something for you, a thank you of sorts, but you're a little overburdened. Clear out some of that backpack and then come back and see me.

Doric: If it's anything like the bow, it'll be stored in a vault somewhere. Can you bring it to me? It'll really help with my research.
