Regicide

Take the fight to Kuldra, and end this once and for all.

Regicide is the last quest of Kuldra's Saga and the whole of it is the Scorned Wilderness raid. The Dragon Gate north-west of Velgar's Rise opens once Icthlarin's Little Helper is done, Zilyana in Rasthin's Rest starts the run, and the quest completes when Kuldra falls at the far end. Bring power level 7 or better gear, an adamant pickaxe, an adamant or rune logging axe for the magic trees, antipoison for the poisoned stretches, strong tea and plenty of food.

Steps

5
  1. 1

    Defeat Kuldra

Kuldra waits behind the Dragon Gate in her sanctum at the end of the raid. The run goes Dragontail Vines, Fragments of Ghornfell, the Shattered Stronghold, Cataclysm Keep and the sanctum, with Zilyana teleporters at the start of the second and third areas to leave and craft, and sanguine urns on the way. The area overview lists what each stretch throws at you.

  2. 2

    Bring Kuldra's head to Zilyana.

Zilyana sends you back to Rasthin's Rest after the kill; hand over the head there.

  3. 3

Gain access to the Scorned Wilderness.

The gate itself recounts the four dragons whose blood seals it (Xikotal, Velgar, Imaru, Fuzan) and plays the Scorned Wilderness trailer. Choose to journey in.

  4. 4

    Speak to Zilyana.

Zilyana was sent by Saradomin and weakens the closer she gets to Kuldra, so the fighting is yours. Rasthin's Rest is the only buildable ground and it is never raided: put a base and a bed here before you start.

  5. 5

Once you are fully prepared, speak to Zilyana.

Speak to her again when the base is up and she starts the raid at Dragontail Vines. Dying inside puts your gravestone beside her, not where you fell.

On completion

The Godeater has been slain! For millennia, Kuldra has held the realm in her iron claws, but now Ashenfall can finally be at peace. Well... from her at least.

Tips

3

Mine the runite and luminite and cut the magic trees as you pass them in the first and last areas; everything in the raid drops discordant residue, the material for power level 8 gear.

The reward pack holds the Dragon Kiteshield, the Dragonslayer's Cape and a Queenslayer's Reward Pack, plus Lougrim's Staff, which Ancamairon in the Alcarrid camp turns into the Lougrim Memorial Shrine furniture piece.

After the quest every run restarts from Dragontail Vines.

Dialogue (71 lines)

[PH] Zilyana: The blood of the four seal this gate. One of earth, one of water, one of air and one of flame.

Commander Zilyana: What would you like to know?

Icthlarin: There is a stillness in the Underworld. A quietude. You have achieved something remarkable.

[PH] Zilyana: Pause your run and return to Zilyana?

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: You carry the Staff of Lougrim, our foremother! Bless the stars!

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: Welcome back, friend of the Moon Garou. I hope the magic carpet is serving you well.

[PH] Zilyana: The lord of the skies has fallen. Xikotal, slain by Kuldra's fury.

[PH] Zilyana: The gate stands open, destiny awaits.

Commander Zilyana: My name is Commander Zilyana, and I allow myself the personal pride to call myself the right hand of Saradomin.

Commander Zilyana: My lord Saradomin is the one true god. While others may profess to possess divine power, they lack the wisdom and the foresight that true divinity requires.

Commander Zilyana: She has consumed more of the world's raw anima than anyone should be able to, and she has been forged with the blood of the garou's fallen deity.

Commander Zilyana: The dragonkin are older than the world. Indeed they are older than the universe, coming, as they do, from the iteration before.

Icthlarin: You have not just become a legend. You have become THE legend of Ashenfall - the one that all the other stories build towards.

[PH] Zilyana: The teleporter hums to life.

[PH] Zilyana: You step away.

Commander Zilyana: Hrmm, here a bit soon arne't you? Shouldn't you take out the generals before facing the queen?

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: My natural instinct is to tell you to bring it to Uzzer or Manafem, that they have better claim to it, but things have changed in the Sands.

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: Be careful if you happen to use it with the Leggings of Lightness. I can't guarantee your safety.

[PH] Zilyana: The door opens with disturbing ease.

[PH] Zilyana: You step away.

Commander Zilyana: For centuries I have served as the leader of his armies and herald of his divine wisdom.

Commander Zilyana: Bandos wielded his power like a club. Zamorak uses his to form pacts with demonic creatures seeking to spread corruption and dismay. While Armadyl cowers from his, unwilling to fully shoulder the burden of godhood.

Commander Zilyana: Her power rivals just about anything on this planet, myself included. Were the gods still here, I'm sure they could deal with her, but sadly the so-called "World Guardian" foolishly put a stop to that.

Commander Zilyana: Yes, an iteration, there have been others. Countless others, stretching back across timelines so vast the entire history of Gielinor wouldn't even register as a dot.

Icthlarin: While I may be immortal, I can be forgotten. In your case, there is no chance of being forgotten at all. Your legacy is cast in iron.

Commander Zilyana: Ah, good you're here. Your allies have already filled me in on your exploits, and I must say I'm impressed.

Commander Zilyana: Well met, adventurer.

Commander Zilyana: Dragons, they seem to have so many heads, don't they? Let me take that one from you.

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: They look to us now. Alcarrid leads. And we shall lead with the Staff of Lougrim.

Commander Zilyana: I am of the icyene, a race of proud, winged warriors, from the world of Hallow. The seat of Saradomin's power.

Commander Zilyana: Saradomin improves the lives of his followers. Through his wisdom he has turned civilisations away from tribal warfare and helped them to become thriving nations.

Commander Zilyana: Now she turns the dragonkin's technology on the rest of the world, seemingly fueled by a mindless hatred for the rest of us.

Commander Zilyana: And what have the dragonkin done with that time? With that impossible history? They create monsters.

Commander Zilyana: Not many people could stand up to the dragons of Kuldra's brood, let alone survive in a place like this, yet you almost make it look easy.

Commander Zilyana: Ah, looking to relive your moment of glory? Come with me down memory lane to face Kuldra again?

Commander Zilyana: Ah, but your burden is too great right now. Come speak to me when you have divested yourself of some of what you carry.

Ancamairon - Alcarrid Elder: Please, I offer this in return. Perhaps Lougrim will guide you as much as she guided us.

[PH] Zilyana: The scaled blight has been slain. Velgar's cruelty no longer infects the earth.

Commander Zilyana: Until comparatively recently I had been frozen in time, trapped in the God Wars even though the world had moved on.

Commander Zilyana: As one of the oldest of the gods, his wisdom is honed across the aeons of discoveries, unexpected crises and patient reflection.

Commander Zilyana: She's turned their machine into some sort of weapon, building wave after wave of discordant anima and using the veil over this island like some sort of resonating chamber.

Commander Zilyana: That tells you everything you need to know about them. With all the time in creation, and all the secrets they have uncovered in that time, they create armies of dragons to torture the rest of us with.

Commander Zilyana: Which is why I need you to finish this threat, once and for all. Kuldra's threatening all of Gielinor now. Shockwaves of discordant anima have been blasting out from this place and they're getting stronger with each wave.

Commander Zilyana: When you're ready, I will take you as far to Kuldra's lair as I can. You'll need to fight your way to the centre of her stronghold yourself.

Commander Zilyana: Saradomin was right to put his faith in you, just as we all were. You have slain the God Eater and saved all of Gielinor in the process.

Commander Zilyana: Where shall I take you?

[PH] Zilyana: The scaled blight has been slain. Velgar's cruelty no longer infects the earth.

[PH] Zilyana: The scaled blight has been slain. Velgar's cruelty no longer infects the earth.

Commander Zilyana: Well... I say moved on, I sometimes wonder whether times ever really change.

Commander Zilyana: His guidance helps us all to find our place in the world. That thing which each of us craves from the day of our birth, a need to belong and be useful.

Commander Zilyana: Each shockwave gets larger and more destructive by the hour and she threatens the mainland with destruction on a scale not seen since the end of the God Wars.

Commander Zilyana: The five who ventured to Ashenfall are no different. Whilst they labelled themselves as mavericks and visionaries, they simply repeat the mistakes of their kin, and add an extra layer or two of horror.

Commander Zilyana: My lord, Saradomin, has called me here to help deal with the threat, but the anima here... it's like it drains me, I feel myself weakening the closer I get to her tower. So I'm afraid I have to pass the torch to you.

Commander Zilyana: Be sure you're as prepared as you can be. Are you ready to kill the queen?

Commander Zilyana: Alas, there will be no statues in your honour on the mainland. Nor will bards sing songs of your deeds, for Guthix's veil will prevent your legend escaping these isles for now.

Commander Zilyana: May Saradomin guide and watch over you! And may Kuldra know his wrath! TO BATTLE!

Commander Zilyana: May Saradomin guide and watch over you! And may Kuldra know his wrath! TO BATTLE!

Commander Zilyana: May Saradomin guide and watch over you! And may Kuldra know his wrath! TO BATTLE!

Commander Zilyana: May Saradomin guide and watch over you! And may Kuldra know his wrath! TO BATTLE!

Commander Zilyana: May Saradomin guide and watch over you! And may Kuldra know his wrath! TO BATTLE!

[PH] Zilyana: Gentle Imaru, blessed by water, finally rests in peace.

[PH] Zilyana: Gentle Imaru, blessed by water, finally rests in peace.

Commander Zilyana: We must stop her, at all costs.

Commander Zilyana: This island will make a vital base, take some time to set yourself up for success. There will be no raids or anything here, I'll see to that.

Commander Zilyana: I see, well then...

Commander Zilyana: It's wise to plan and prepare, but don't take too long. Kuldra's readying herself to unleash a catastrophe across Gielinor that could see the end of everything.

Commander Zilyana: But the people here will remember the good you have done, and in time we will find a way to let the world know of your heroism.

[PH] Zilyana: Fuzan's flames have been extinguished.

Commander Zilyana: We should put a stop to that, as soon as possible.

Commander Zilyana: Here, let me take that vile trophy from you, so that I might reward you with something more fitting your stature than this... slimy mess.

Commander Zilyana: Ah, but your burden is too great right now. Come speak to me when you have divested yourself of some of what you carry.
