Dragonbone Dagger

Viika was never fond of creating dragons, they thought the process was cruel and unbecoming. When an egg was laid, Viika saw both the egg and the dragon it would become. They saw the past and present, and they grieved for the creature before it had even hatched.

They begged their sibling and the other dragonkin to change their treatment of the beasts. But Viika's curse, like so many seers, was to be ignored by their kindred.

Once, a rare egg hatched a dragon with white scales, like pearls. The dragon was infused with magic and possessed the power to travel to other worlds, where she might live a happier life. But Viika wept, for they knew she would have no such end.

Viika kept the hatchling company. Treated her like their dearest friend, and held her softly when Lacrussa's thirst for knowledge took the dragon's last breath.

The seer kept only a single keepsake - a blade carved from the tooth of their white-scaled friend. A dagger capable of terrible damage, but as fragile as the friendship it reminded them of.
