Maple Rod

This is it. You've made it now. The pinnacle of Dowdun Reach fishing: ownership of a maple rod. Don't let it go to your head. The hook will get stuck in your nostril.

The humble angler doesn't draw attention to the maple rod. They don't wax it or buy it a nice kebbit-fur sheath. They don't name it something like Deborah or kiss it before they go to bed.

No, the humble angler strides into the middle of other anglers and says "levels?". They hear the fishing levels of others and nod in appreciation.

Be the humble angler.
