Seared Anchovies

Not be confused with "seered anchovies": a delicacy from Umbral Sands where the anchovies are lightly toasted on clairvoyants.

The naturally salty taste of an anchovy has been ascribed to the salt flats on the ocean floor, where anchovies feed on the underwater flora. In an attempt to deepen the anchovy flavour, fishermen have been known to sprinkle pepper, marrentil and pineapple over those same salt flats.
