A Melody Remembered
A jewellery box in Ghornfell plays a haunting melody, but it cannot complete its song.
A jewellery box on a desk in a ruined building south of the Garou King's fortress in the Stormtouched Highlands plays a tune it can't finish. It asks for two pieces of jewellery, and in return it gives you 
Ravanna's Ring and the recipe to make more. The ring deletes a worn Salve Amulet, so take that off first.

The jewellery box requires a specific ring.
The first piece is an
Inspiring Ring of Runecrafting: a clay mould, two silver bars, two opals and three vault shards at a Jeweller's Bench if you don't already own one. - 2
The jewellery box requires a specific amulet.
The second is an
Amulet of Magic (not the inspiring version): a clay mould, two gold bars, two silver bars, four sapphires and six vault shards, and its recipe needs Dragon Slayer done.
On completion
A musical puzzle box didn't confuse you for long, and you uncovered the magical ring of Ashenfall's unluckiest necromancer.
Tips
1If you have no Jeweller's Bench yet it costs 12 oak planks, 8 ground sandstone, two gold bars, two silver bars and a vault core, which is most of the quest's expense.
